Michael’s design, illustration, and advertising work has been recognized in Wired Magazine, the International Typography Show Archive, Print, and Communication Arts. and the local Portland Advertising Federation Rosey awards.
Prior to starting Fieldtrip, Michael worked in Singapore and in Hong Kong, as well as a summer-long post in Nihzhny Novgorod, Russia.
He has lectured and has been published in the U.S. and abroad, and has taken extensive trips to, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cuba, Indonesia, Serbia, the Philippines and the People’s Republic of China.
